Actually two talks (as in I’m doing the same talk across the two days). The talk is entitled “How SMEs can innovate through social tools” and I’ll be giving an overview on social tools for business, which includes of course how they can help SMEs to:
– innovate faster through understanding their markets and customers
– shape their services and products and ultimately
– deliver sales.
And I’ll be rounding up some of the platforms, tools and techniques available to SMEs.
As well as working with agencies and larger clients I’ve worked with a range of SMEs in the last 18 months including a couple of startups and I get a real buzz out of that. So I’m hoping I can provide some useful, actionable information to SMEs / start ups who’ll be at the show.
If you don’t know the Forum of Private Business, they are a national business support group focused on the growth and profitability of small and medium-sized businesses in the UK. Disclaimer – they are also one of my clients and you couldn’t meet a nicer, more professional bunch of people.
I’ve recently contributed a couple of short video introductions to Social Media and SEO on the Forum’s youtube channel. This talk doesn’t cover the same ground as such but is complementary and i’ll have a bit longer to cover off some areas that may be new to some SMEs and startups.
I believe the FPB stand is 1212 and the seminar programme will run alongside that, see you there!
