I just wrote a guide related to Agency selection for the Smart Insights website and along with that, an agency selection ‘scorecard’.
It was an enjoyable experience in that I’ve got a foot in both the direct client and agency camps.
With thousands of agencies of all types in the UK it could be quite some job to choose an agency : to filter down to the ones (or one) that will suit you best and generate a mutually rewarding relationship.
Hopefully the guide will help you on your way.
So what do I do ‘for both camps’?
I work for agencies on both ‘client-facing stuff’ e.g creating digital / content strategies, supporting pitches, project governance etc and ‘business stuff’ e.g making them more profitable, process adjustments, technology for marketing, team training etc.
And I work with brands/ businesses on anything from creating online marketing and / or content strategies, being the website project manager and content producer, a wider marketing consultant and of course supporting agency selection.
If you want some support, whichever side of the fence you are on – please shout!
The photo comes from a trip to help McCann Oslo a couple of years back. One of the most interesting agency interiors I’ve been in.
