Hi I’m Mark.

I work primarily in the area of helping marketing agencies (of all types) succeed with their digital marketing offer.

But I also work across non-digital areas of the business too, based on years of agency operational experience.

I have been helping agencies big and small succeed with their growth objectives for a few years now. Through a combination of operational, new business and client growth approaches and digital marketing know-how.

And sometimes (if the fit is right) I act as a ‘pure play’ digital marketing consultant working direct for B2C and B2B brands. Because that’s fun also.

My Story (if you are curious!):

I am lucky enough to love what I do – helping brilliant agencies be even better and thrive. And helping great brands get more customers and grow revenue.

I was destined to do what I do.

Okay, that’s maybe a bit strong.

But I’ve always been fascinated by advertising and marketing ever since an extracurricular course I took on the Psychology Of Advertising and Creativity at secondary school. I’ve always loved and been comfortable with technology and software too.

I went on to do a degree in Psychology but always with an eye on the marketing industry – even creating flyers for events and editing the student newspaper.

It was as an undergrad that I found I loved the tech /code side of things too – learning to create and run psychology tests in BASIC.

My first postgrad job in the marketing department of a media agency had one computer which we all shared, with proposal documents being sent to the typing pool.

Yep, that long ago.

I was the one who played about with it and figured what it could do for us as a team.

And then from media agency to direct marketing and the world of database builds and analytics.

Then in 1999 into ‘online’ proper. Nu media, anyone?

The areas that fascinated me then are still the same: the intersection of technology, psychology, analytics and creativity.

A lot of those ‘early’ best practice principles still hold true today. Don’t talk at people, start a conversation.

Over the years I have devised strategies and managed teams and projects to support great brands, clients and agencies on both UK and international activity.

Brands that include Shell, UPS, Durex, Scholl, Britvic, Sharp, Brother Electronics, American Airlines, the Teacher Training Agency, Nescafe, Bass, Mission Foods, University of Huddersfield, NSPCC, Connection Seating and NO-AD suncare.

All that experience means as a:

  • digital marketing consultant I can support you on B2C and B2B initiatives. And with website design and build, eCRM, content marketing, social media, ROI and analytics etc – lots of things.
